My Maleficent

So I unfortunately, haven't been active for awhile and I am dreadfully sorry. This here is my Maleficent look, I was on Tumblr when I saw an image for the new Disney movie being released in just two years. Maleficent. It got me thinking about makeup and villains. So I decided to make my own look on this Disney villain. It is great as either a Halloween look or even a night on the town!

I tried to make a wearable, yet classic, Maleficent look. I made it cut-crease with a straight edge. I really love to wear purples and blacks, especially with dramatic liner. It's super easy and requires just a bunch of blending ad patience. A tip for the straight line of eyeshadow use plain scotch tape, it works wonders!

BASICS ON A BUDGET

So today I thought I would like to make a post about some of the things I am loving for the basic make-up necessities while on a bit of a budget. I really have been trying to find store brand cosmetics that are great and low in price! I believe that when it comes to makeup price shouldn't really matter, but since I am on soft of a budget I found a few amazing cosmetics at a reasonably low, affordable price! So, to find these great buys I went to my local Wal-Mart, Target, and Ulta. Now, I don't know the ingredients in these and if you are a ''vegan only makeup person, then you might want to look up the company. Here we go!

Line Stiletto by Maybelline

This is my eyeliner of choice, it has a bit of a thick applicator which I really like. I prefer my eyeliner to be a wide cat eye and with this eyeliner I get smooth application and a dark black color. It glides and drys a bit quick and doesn't smudge that much. It stays for a while when I get in the water, but if I actually rub my eyes it does smear. The only thing I don't really like is near the end of the day it does get flaky, but it just makes it easier to take off. I bought this for roughly $5.96 at my local Wal-Mart.

Brow Pencil in Dark Brown 001 by Ulta

I really like to fill in my brows without having them look fake matted, or just bad. Lately, I have been having bad brow days, but this pencil really fills them in lightly without them looking horrible. I like that it evenly spreads, it's definitely versatile. I really enjoy having the brush part on the cap, really nice. Sometimes when I forget my powder or don't feel like bringing too much makeup I just throw this into my purse and I am good to go! If you like using a brow pencil but are used to MAC or even the Sephora brand, then this is an awesome alternate to those. Can you imaging that at Ulta.com this is only $3?!

SPF 15 Powerder Foundation by Bare Minerals

While it isn't the cheapest thing on the block, it is the best for light to medium coverage without looking cakey. It's around $20 and really is amazing. I have tried the Sephora one, Mac one and even knock-off brands with no luck. I stumbled upon this beauty when having a girl day. LOVE this powder foundation and honestly my everyday item to go to. I honestly would recommend this to anyone, best thing I've ever tried and put on my face.

These are three of my everyday items recently that are good quality, fairly cheap and easy to find. I wear all three of these almost everyday and hopefully, I'll be able to make a few more of these, but I haven't found any I love except for these. I ordered some makeup from a brand called Rockeresque and I am extremely excited to try this. They should be here within the next few days and I will make a blog post on it as soon as possible. Until next time sweethearts, xoxo Mae.
